The Victoire won this 3-1. Here is your game overview.
Summary of the game
De Victoire opened the scoring thanks to a Tabin card bang from the point. Minutes later, Montreal would have a possible second goal disallowed due to a kick from Marie-Philip Poulin. That would be all for a quick first period as the Victoire led 1-0 at the first break. The shots were heavily in their favor at 12-3.
In the second period, Montreal increased their lead when Hayley Scamurra scored one from a body for her first of the season. They would hold serve until the second break with a 2-0 lead and the shot clock advantage of 23-10.
The third period started with Emma Gentry ripping one over Ann-Renée Desbiens’ blocker to halve the deficit for Toronto. However, after a watch call on a partial escape minutes later, the Victoire’s Laura Stacey scored one at home on the power play to restore her team’s two-goal lead. That would be it if Montreal cruised to a 3-1 win. The final shots were 30-21 in favor of the home team.
The next match for both teams is a rematch on the PWHL’s Takeover Tour on December 17. The game will be played at the Scotiabank Center in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with puck drop scheduled for 4:30 PM MDT.
