Bajaj Auto Q2 results: Cons PAT rises 53% YoY to Rs 2,122 crore, sales rise 19%

Two-wheeler major Bajaj Auto on Friday reported a 53% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit in the second quarter at Rs 2,122 crore, compared to Rs 1,385 crore in the same period a year ago. The profit after tax (PAT) is attributable to the owners of the company. Revenue from operations in the quarter under review stood at Rs 15,735 crore, up 19% from Rs 13,247 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.

Revenue from operations topped a new business at over Rs 15,000 crore, propelled by a richer mix of vehicles and best-ever spare parts sales, the company said in its filing with the stock exchanges.

The company said its strong performance across all business lines more than offset the disruption caused by rare earth magnet restrictions affecting the fastest growing part of the portfolio (electricity). This is further proof of the company’s resilient and adaptable model.

However, consolidated PAT declined 4% on a sequential basis, compared to Rs 2,210 crore reported in Q1FY26. Revenue rose 20% quarter-on-quarter, compared to Rs 13,133 crore reported in the April-June quarter of FY26.

In a press release shared by the company with the stock exchanges, Bajaj Auto said its standalone Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) crossed the Rs 3,000 crore milestone for the first time, with a margin that went up to 20.5%. The PAT also recorded a fresh peak of Rs 2,480 in the reporting quarter compared to Rs 2,005 crore in the same period last year, an increase of 24%. Domestic Motorcycles saw sequential double-digit volume-driven sales growth, driven by the sports segment, especially at the top end. Bajaj Auto’s domestic two-wheeler sales stood at 5,96,576 units, down 6% compared to 6,36,801 units in the same period last year. They rose 13% QoQ compared to Rs 5,29,344 units. Commercial vehicle sales stood at 1,44,217 units in the second quarter of 2026, compared to 1,39,910 in the previous year period, recording a growth of 3%. Export revenues increased 35% year-on-year in the regions and 2Ws/3Ws. The company exported 5,53,327 vehicles in the second quarter, registering a 24% year-on-year increase from 4,44,793 units in the same period last year. On a quarterly basis, the jump was 16%.
