Baird & Warner Launches AI Assistant to Support Chicago Agents

“Everyone in residential real estate is talking about AI, but what we’ve built for our agents is much more powerful and purposeful,” said Dean Rouso, senior vice president of strategic initiatives at Baird & Warner. “Remi is trained in all things real estate, including our company’s more than 170 years of data and knowledge, block by block, of Chicago’s 77 distinct neighborhoods and all the surrounding suburbs, and the day-to-day reality of real estate agents’ experience.”

Developed exclusively for Baird & Warner Through BrokerBot.aiAccording to the company, Remi currently resolves approximately 90% of agent queries within minutes.

The AI-powered system can respond via voice, desktop, chat or SMS, providing information about contracts, advertising rules, office procedures and other sources.

Remi can also guide agents on tasks such as ordering photography through Baird & Warner Image Services and answering questions about state licensing laws and proper contract protocols.

“Agents don’t want to be told where to look to get answers; they want that information delivered immediately and directly to them so they can focus on serving their customers at the highest level,” said Laura Ellis, chief strategy officer and president of residential sales at Baird & Warner. “Remi gives our agents exactly that. The system is integrated into every facet of the mediation process by understanding how agents work and what they need at any given time. It provides fast and accurate answers in seconds, whether agents are in the office, at home, at trade shows or in the car.

“Remi will have an immediate positive impact on the way Baird & Warner agents do business and translate into superior service for our clients.”

Baird & Warner said Remi has already proven its worth in testing.

In one example, a managing broker received an after-hours call from an agent who needed commercial contracts and forms but couldn’t make it home for more than an hour. The manager asked Remi for the materials and immediately received the correct links, allowing the agent to help the customer immediately.

The system also tailors responses to a broker’s office and can take neighborhood-specific real estate rules and regulations into account.

For example, Remi can determine if a listing is in an area where for-sale signs are prohibited and inform the agent.

“It is our deep understanding of real estate processes and the Chicagoland market – combined with the extensive resources required to build an AI system with this level of customization – that makes Remi possible,” Rouso adds.
