The Safety Center allows customers to adjust security settings based on their usage and comfort, the private sector bank said in a statement.
Key features of the center include an SMS Shield, which verifies the authenticity of SMS messages by comparing the sender ID with Axis Bank’s official IDs; completely disabling access to Internet Banking if this is not necessary; and immediately restricting all money transfer options through Mobile Banking and Internet Banking with a single switch.
The center also has features such as blocking transactions initiated through third-party apps (e.g. e-commerce platforms) that use Net Banking as a payment method; restricting UPI transactions through the bank’s mobile app; preventing the addition of new beneficiaries; and setting limits on money transfers and UPI.
Sameer Shetty, Group Executive – Digital Business, Transformation & Strategic Programs, Axis Bank, said the Safety Center is a decisive step in tackling the rise in digital fraud by giving customers real-time control over their banking security.
