Axel Tuanzebe suggests his former club Manchester United for allegedly negligent medical advice during his time at Old Trafford.
Defender Tuanzebe, who left United in the summer of 2023, submitted a legal claim to the Supreme Court last week with regard to a period from July 2022 with an injury he had at that time. It is considered a high -quality claim, which is supposed to be more than £ 1 million.
He suffered hip and foot injuries during his enchantment at Old Trafford and the now 27-year-old was put offside there during 195 days in his last season before he was borrowed from Stoke in January 2023 and then came to Ipswich as a free agent in September 2023.
At the time, a statement was on the official website of United about his exit: “His departure is an emotional one for the player and many at the club who have known and helped him over the years. A good character, he leaves United universally respected as a credit for himself and his family.
“Everyone at the club wants to expand our best wishes to Axel while he starts the next chapter of his career. We also want to thank him for always representing Manchester United with class and dignity.”
After two years at the Tractor Boys, where he fought more injuries but made more than 40 performances as the first cord to the right, he would enter Burnley earlier this month after their recent promotion of the championship.

Tuanzebe joined United’s Academy at the age of eight and led them at every level before making his senior debut in January 2017. However, he only appeared 37 performances for the first team in the next six years.
He had several spells on loan with Aston Villa and Napoli, while his last appearance for the Red Devils came in the definitive loss of 2021 Europa League for Villarreal, where he scored in the shooting during a 11-10 defeat on penalties.
After he has represented England under the age of 21, he now plays for Dr. Congo at Senior International Level it winning three caps since his debut in 2024.
Tuanzebe’s lawyers, Simons Muirhead Burton and Manchester United have both refused to comment on the case so far.
