Alex Caceres confesses that Mike Perry’s promotion has drawn him after UFC exit because he wanted to ‘express himself’ himself

In a clip of the ‘Overdogs Podcast’ shared on Instagram, Mike Perry, the founder of the Dirty Boxing Championship, started asking: ‘What did you convey? Was it our interesting fighting style with dirty boxing? Are you excited to throw hands and elbows? Or was it something else? “

Alex Caceres is planned to hire another former UFC veteran, Saidyokub KakhramonovDuring the DBX 2 Co-Main event on 14 June. As such, he responded to Perry’s question: “A lot of good, many things, you know. I am always looking for interesting ways to express myself. So I certainly always wanted to try out some boxing in the future, but dirty boxing is more right in my alley. Do you know? So that certainly comes out. “

For the record, he not only dives into boxing, he dives into something that much closer to fighting chaos. With four-back gloves, elbows, blows, rotating backfists and standing ground and pound all legal, dirty boxing is the kind of fight where creativity meets violence.

Yet it was not just the size that pulled him in. Caceres shared: “But especially because I was inactive for so long. Do you know? The UFC had been on my shelf for a while because our contract was over, and so we have not yet signed the new contract again. “

His last fight in the Octagon came in May 2024, where he lost a decision to Sean Woodson on UFC on ESPN 56. Before that he had fought in 2023 Giga Chikadze, and something had to change with the long holes between the trips.

Caceres went by saying that the UFC told him that he was still in their plans, but that they had not found an opponent. As such he revealed: ‘We just sit down and wait until we find you a good opponent. But it’s more than a year ago, so I’m something like that, I have to do something. So they actually told me, like, well, you are a free agent. ‘

With a co-headliner place on DBX 2 and hunters such as Jairzinho rose bush that can also be seen on the map, the event becomes a spectacle. And make no mistake, Mike Perry’s DBX is not just another Combat Sports League. It was built for chaos. Smaller rings. Faster rounds. No split decisions, because if the jury members cannot decide, hunters will go another round.

It is a natural fit for a male -like caceres with its unorthodox and unpredictable style. But that does not mean that his time with the UFC is over, as he claimed, “When we put you down again, then you are again for the UFC. So I’m just waiting a little.”

So no burnt bridges. Just a temporary detour. The question now is, can ‘Bruce Leeroy’ change his DBX debut in the kind of moment that the UFC notes again? It is still too viewed. But while he hopes for a return to the Octagon, Mike Perry exclaims another UFC star to arrange their score for once and for all in a different arena!

‘The Notorious’ and Perry continue their feud while calls are made for a collision in the BKFC

The feud of Mike Perry and Conor McGregor do not seem to fade quickly. It all started with an Instagram story. McGregor took a wipe to Perry and congratulated new BKFC lightly heavyweight champion Josh Dyer. The injection? ‘You have never been a bald world champion. We have made a fake belt for you … Don’t mention a bare knuckle FC anymore. “

Perry and McGregor have previously exchanged shots, verbally, not physically. In 2024, after Perry lost a boxing match to Jake Paul, McGregor, who is partly the owner of BKFC, “fired” him online. Perry did not stop and said that the Irishman would lose Jake Paul worse than he did to Floyd Mayweather.

But this time Perry wants more than words. With McGregor inactive since 2021 and uncertain to return, Perry made his offer clear. ‘If he wanted to fight someone, he would have to fight me. ‘ He added that he is ready to get back in the ring, to make a spectacle, turn off someone’s teeth and then put the McGregor fight for the Big Bucks in line.

To complete things, Alex Caceres uses DBX to stay sharp, to stay relevant and to keep doing what he likes, while the UFC sorting the next step. In the meantime, Mike Perry turns the script completely into combat sports. With his wild CV and Brutaler-Dan-Eox Callouts, he not only builds a promotion, he builds Momentum. Whether it is Conor McGregor, Chaos of Cash, Perry strives for all three!
