If you are a high handicapper, a female player or a golfer who is just starting, chances are that you will hit a lot of Fairway Woods. Unlike IJzers, Fairway Woods needs a few different keys to perform a good strike. But there are also another mistake that players make when using Fairway Woods, says top instructor Heather Angell.
“I always tell people, don’t get your fairway wood, unless you are in the fairway with a really good lie,” said Angell on the top 100 -learning top of golf on Cabot Citrus Farms In Florida. “I have so many amateurs who come out and they are from:” Well, I can’t reach the green. I have to hit the longest club in my bag. ” And they are in the rough or in a sunken lying in the fairway, and they raise that fairway wood and I am from what you do?
According to Angell, just because the shot you are confronted with, the Yardage requires that your fairway wood is able to travel, this does not mean you to have To touch it. Instead, Angell, if the lie is not great, says no self-sabotage. Instead, choose a hybrid or iron to get back into the fairway and continue.
Angell also recommends using a center-forward ball position with a fairway wood.
“Most people want to bring it back in the middle of their views, such as an iron, or they put it on it with their driver. I think the key is for amateurs to ensure that they have their ball position in the middle, so that they get that ideal type of sweeping movement that they want to touch and then make you make a nice smooth swing.
