On Thursday (September 25, 2025), India has carried out the successful launch of Agni-Prime Missile of the intervening range of a mobile launcher system based on rails.
In a post on X, Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh of the Union said: “This next generation of rocket was designed to cover a range up to 2000 km and is equipped with various advanced functions.”
“The first launch of its species carried out from a specially designed mobile launcher on the basis of rails, has the possibility to go on the rail network without prior conditions with which the user can have cross -country driver and can be launched with less visibility within a short response time,” Mr Singh added.

Congratulation of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Strategic Forces Command (SFC) and the armed forces for a successful test, added the Minister of Defense: “This successful flight test has placed India in the group of selected countries that have opportunities that have a planned launching system of the Move Rail.”
