The next generation of cricket stars will illuminate the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane as Australia U19 take on India U19 In the first youth ODI of a series of three games on Sunday 21 September. The competition marks the start of a long -awaited tour for the young people of India, who are fresh from a successful campaign in England earlier this year.
With two youth tests that are also planned after the ODIs, the series offers a golden opportunity for both teams to test their bank strength and to prepare future internationals in competitive circumstances.
Spotlight on Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre
All eyes will be on two names that have already made waves in the Indian domestic cricket and the IPL – Vaibhav Suryavanshi And Ayush Mhatre.
Suryavanshi, known for his aggressive stroke game at the top, was the striking artist for India in the Limited-overs series in England. On the other hand, skipper Mhatre, a technically healthy batter, dominated the red beam fabric of the same tour with its consistency and temperament. Both cricketers will want to expand their purple patch and promote their business for higher awards.
For India, the Tour is more than just winning competitions – it’s about Exposure. Playing in Australian conditions, with resilient pitches and larger grounds, will test the adaptability of this team.
