On the eve of the Ashes series, Australian cricket legend Michael Clarke has put his luxury Sydney mansion up for sale with expectations of more than $20 million.

On the eve of the First Ashes Test, Australian cricket legend Michael Clarke has listed his Vaucluse mansion with expectations of more than $20 million.

“There will be a two in front of it,” said listing agent Bill Malouf of Highland Double Bay Malouf.

Clarke is selling the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home, which was purchased in 2021 for $13.01 million, after purchasing a larger six-bedroom mansion with a tennis court and pool nearby for about $20 million.

The new house stands on a huge 1000 m² block.

Apparently it was the north-facing championship tennis court that knocked him over.

But Malouf, who runs the listing with Emma Potter, is expecting a strong response for his current home, which has had a nice renovation since he bought it.

It measures 784 m² and has heated limestone floors, informal and formal living and dining areas, a study and a gym.

The Mediterranean-style kitchen has been updated and there is a swimming pool with a Tuscan-style cabana and a fireplace.
