Hello, everyone.
Welcome back to what our Friday tradition has become, our position called Statwatch. What we are trying to do is handle field hockey statistics from all over the United States to give you, the reader, a perspective on the field hockey game about a historical timeline. Well, as much timeline as possible as we can, given that statistics in Veldhockey were rarely aggregated or published before 1980.
Nowadays it is a more difficult task because collecting statistics from newspapers in many places is no longer something. That is why we had to re -publish our stories in 2024 because the person we thought was perhaps the most important scorer of the nation in both Veldhockey and Lacrosse was not the right person.
We are lucky that we have WordPress instead of a printed page, so that we can easily make adjustments or corrections. But we would rather get it the first time. That is why we do these weekly segments, which run most Friday about the time that each team played for at least a week.
The red type below shows our usual collection of American scholastic field hockey statistics from, in addition to other sources, MaxPreps, Berkspeldag, the KHSAA, the St. Louis Post-Disphatch and Advance Media.
We would like to get so many coaches and other field hockey people to register the MaxPreps.com platform, And we encourage you to get both your colleague teams as well as your conference, competition or your state administration from the administrative body to introduce field hockey information there, so that we can strive for the most statistical picture of the country. This is mainly for regions that may have lost their daily local sports coverage as a result of mergers or closing of daily or weekly papers.
