Labor has asked Nigel Farage to confirm whether he has a financial interest in his constituency, after it emerged that his partner bought the house – saved him a tax account of £ 44,000.

The reform of the British leader was examined about the property in Clacton, Essex, after he said four times earlier this year that he had bought a house there.

However, the Guardian revealed in May that the £ 895,000 house had in fact been purchased by his partner, Laure Ferrari, with Farage that his name did not appear on the actions “for safety reasons”. If he had made the purchase, he would have been liable for 10% seal rights instead of 5% because it was an extra property.

Since then, tax experts have pointed out that if Farage had some favorable property in the property, this could mean a tax obligation. Sean Randall, who specializes in stamp rights, said: “Tax follows the favorable interest owned. In some circumstances, the law acknowledges that it would be fair to treat someone if there is no trust deed. If this applies to Mr. Farage, he would be treated as a buyer for the title, although he would not be in the title.

“Whether he has a favorable interest can depend on whether he has contributed to the price and pays one of the costs related to the property.”

Farage rejected questions about the property and said it was fully owned by Ferrari. He said to the mirror: “I didn’t borrow anyone any money. I didn’t give her money. She comes from a very successful French family and she can afford it herself. It’s handy, it works and she thinks it’s great there.”

Labor wrote to Farage on Tuesday with a series of questions about the real estate, and said that he “coarsely misled” his voters about it.

Anna Turley, the chairman of the party, said: “If what you had told the public for months, you would have paid tens of thousands of pounds more in seal rights because you have other property. You have spent months
Mislead the public about your own property and at the same time as
comment on the real estate tax cases of other politicians.

“Although you may have indicated that your housing scheme has not been introduced to minimize the tax that you pay, Tim Montgomerie, a senior reform UK supporter, admitted on Sunday evening that the function about your Clacton house ‘clearly a tax efficient way was’ to manage your affairs …

“It is only good that you now urgently have to provide an extensive and complete account of your financial interests, since they relate to the property in Clacton, and explain whether you have received advice not to buy real estate in your constituency to prevent you from paying more tax. A little less than this will not be willing to love the same standards that you have expected from others.”

Labor asked Farage if he had sought financial advice about buying a property in Clacton, whether he had a favorable interest in the property and whether he personally paid the costs for maintaining the property or the accounts, for example the tax or utilities.

Turley added: “During your reform party conference you were admitted and said that ‘disgusting’ after a journalist had asked you about some of these basic questions. You also said repeatedly” How do you dare? ” Unpleasant [Sky News’s] Beth Rigby when it is questioned about these issues. If you continue to prove such anger when you are subject to a very understandable control over these issues, the public will rightly be suspicious of whether you are hiding something. “

Farage and reform have been approached for comment.
