How it happened
Saturday’s exhibition against the Serbian professional team Mega Superbet at Roberto Clemente Coliseum provided an important step for the competition of Wednesday’s competition against Universidad de Bayamón. Indiana led 3-2 early, but dirty problems and hot shooting through Mega Superbet led the Hoosiers to quickly fell behind.
Against the 5:48 Mark of the first quarter, Mega led 16-8 and the lead extended to 13 points on 25-12 late in the opening quarter. Against the 1: 01 point, the Mega Superbet lead 16 on 48-32 when Tayton Conerway found Tucker Devries for a 3-pointer and then had a ride for a score. Trent Sisley’s 3-Pointer late in the second quarter, De Hoosiers received within 13 on 48-35. IU’s biggest shortage of half was 23.

Iu cut the mega superbet to eight after a Wilkerson Bucket and Devries 3-Pointer to start the third quarter. Another 3-Pointer from Wilkerson pulled the Hoosiers on 48-43 within five. Indiana tied the game 49 after 49 after Devries reached three free throws after he was polluted in an attempt of 3 points, making it a 28-5 run for IU. Mega Superbet scored the following four points to make it 53-49, but Wilkerson’s 3-Pointer, the seventh of the team’s match, withdrew the Hoosiers within one in 53-52. Iu regained the lead on 54-53 on a Putback Dunk by Alexis. A 3-point game by Jasai Miles extended the IU lead to three in 62-59. And the management grew to five in 64-59 on another bucket from Alexis. An Aleksa Ristic 3-Pointer pushed the lead to eight at 67-59 to end the third quarter.
The score of the fourth quarter was opened with a Wilkerson bucket to turn it into 69-59, Indiana. Wilkerson’s 3-Pointer extended the lead to 11 in 74-63. De Hoosiers pushed the lead to 78-63 against 6:46, forcing a mega superbet time-out. The IU momentum went out of the break. De Hoosiers scored the following five points, including a Trent Sisley 3-Pointer, to make it 83-63 and to bring the game out of reach forever.

The Hoisiers were unofficially led by Wilkerson’s 18 points. Three other Hoosiers ended in double digits: Alexis with 13, Conerway with 12, Sisley with 10, Devries with 10 and Bailey with 8.
