Asics has great to go to the “inflatable” world of running foam. After the success of his Novblast Hardroper, ASICS prepares the release of two new running models in the Blast -Franchise -the Sonicblast and Megablast, both out on 1 September -which release a new own Atpu -Midsole foam, ff turbo quadrated.
“We have these great, legendary shoes that ASICS has been earning for 20 to 30 years, and in 2020 we have brought on the market for the first time as an answer to a new experience,” says Paul Lang, Senior Global Global Global Product Line Manager of Performance Running. “While we want to develop this entire bounce category, we will start to see the FF Turbo Squared.”
The stories of the new Sonicblast and Megablast start with the success of the Novblast, which was launched in 2020 to create a new running experience for the Japanese brand, so that the new technologies and designs can try a focused on a spruce experience. The silhouette has been started to the point that for a long time expects it to be one of the top shoes worldwide in 2026.

Along the way, ASICS added the long-distance superblast to the line-up. As the idea of an energetic running experience grows in running clubs and a larger running population, “Now it goes more to go inside and say that I want something that feels so and makes me excited to get out and run.” To double the offer in the explosion -line -up, ASICS introduces its new ATPU light and fluctuates the FF Turbo Kwadraat and adds to the two new models.
“While we look to unlock a new chapter of energy, ATPU is a material that we are starting to see,” says Lang, and notes that the metaed race shoe from the brand uses another type of ATPU foam because the material is known for lightweight and resilient resilience.
The Sonicblast has a bottom layer of the FF Blast Max foam that is currently on the Novblast, but with a top layer of the new FF Turbo Squared ATPU, all with a 3/4-length Pbax plate sandwiched between the two. Long says that the use of pbax instead of carbon fiber enables the shoe to remain flexible for daily use for a wider range of runners, all with the same propagating benefits.

The mega guest concentrates on the new foam, using a full 46 mm stack in the back – deputy to a 38 mm stack in the forefoot – for the most “energyness” of one of the shoes in the line -up. A single piece of the foam enables the shoe to weigh on 230 grams, considerably lighter than others in the Line -up and near where many performance race shoes have fallen in recent years.

“This is the ultimate expression of bouncing for us,” says Lang about the Megablast. While testing the foam, long says that the team realized that they had the chance to create a unique experience by only showing the FF Turbo Squared.
“We see more runners asking for a greater experience through shoes,” says Lang. ‘We know it [the MegaBlast] is not the highest volume [seller]But this will bring many people for the brand. The weight of stacking ratio, the bounce, we are really enthusiastic about what is here for us. “
On the outsole, both models have the tasty rubber that the brand has, something that ASICs uses on trail models, giving the blast series improved grip.
The explosion -line -up of ASICs running shoes now has four silhouettes with the addition of the Megablast and Sonicblast.
Asics
For the top, Sonicblast has a simplistic and breathable jacquard -upper work with a soft collar and padded tongue for comfort. This up-tempo bouncing daily trainer costs $ 180. The upper on the mega block, a shoe of $ 225, is inspired by racing upper but structured for daily training with breathable locking. It also has training shoe benefits, such as a pull -tab and collar to enlarge comfort.
The new explosion -line -up has a hierarchy with Novblast as the entry, Sonicblast up the next step, followed by the Superblast and then mega guest. While the energy -oriented runners started running a new consumer, the Novblast normalized that material for ASICs and helped to bridge the gap between new and old technologies. The “Energized Type of Runner” now has new options in the ASICS setup with a full line of BouncePounter-oriented silhouettes.
“I think we can now take the family photo,” says Lang on the Line -Up. “Everyone showed up. These four shoes, if someone had a bag with these four shoes, they are ready to go. I am satisfied with where we stand.”
