India surpassed Pakistan again through six wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four Clash in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday 21 September. 172 chased, India brilliantly, thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s fifty and a partnership with Shubman Gill to seal the game with seven balls.

But Tilak Varma, 30 not from 19 balls, and the support of Hardik Pandya ensured that India easily crossed the border. With nine points required in the last two overs, Tilak Shaheen Afridi beat for a six and then hit him for four to seal the victory on 174/4 in 18.5 overs.
