Bronx-Foked recording artist Cardi B will get a new honor in June when the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) presents her with the ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award.
The organization of the songwriters announced that the Bodak yellow will be an artist datum The price for Ascap’s best hip-hop, R&B and Gospel songwriters in Los Angeles on 8 June on a private, only invitation. “Cardi B has left an indelible mark on the culture of Hiphop by redefining and challenging the standards for women,” said ASCAP chairman of the Council and President Paul Williams in a written statement. “After she has broken countless barriers with her non -degrading authenticity and talent, she continues to use her voice to plead for and inspire others, a real proof of her unmistakable impact. We are proud to present Cardi B with this year’s ascap voice.”
Because fans are waiting for her second album, Cardi is still a force to take into account in the industry. In 2020 she wrote history when she became the first woman to receive the Ascap Rhythm & Soul Songwriter of the Year Award for two consecutive years. She has eight Ascap Pop Music Awards and an impressive 23 Ascap Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.
