The 27-year-old joined the Gunners from Crystal Palace in a deal worth up to £67.5 million during the summer transfer window.
However, Eze has been a relatively peripheral figure since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium. It took him seven appearances to find the net in the Premier League – the only goal of the match against Crystal Palace in October – before scoring an astonishing hat-trick against Spurs less than a month later.
The England international only scored another league goal last weekend, when he bagged a brace in the 4-1 win over Spurs.
Mikel Arteta wants more ‘huge’ moments from £67m Arsenal signing Eberechi Eze
Ahead of Sunday’s clash with Chelsea, Arteta praised Eze’s mentality since joining Arsenal but insisted he wants to see more match-winning moments from him.
“You see how players react to certain decisions you make,” he said. “If they have better games or have certain problems. His role has changed a few times during the season and his reaction has always been top, but it has been difficult to perform and that is what we need.”

“He is exceptional in the way he conducts himself every day, but what we need now is for those mannerisms to translate into huge performances that decide football games. That is why we bought him.”
“To understand him, you have to understand how he connects with other players and what connections we can build in and around him and what spaces he is more comfortable using.
“There are certain behaviors that he has dramatically changed into really positive things. Ultimately, you don’t know if you’re going to see them in a week, or two, or a month, but they’re coming.”
