Tanner Tessmann played the hero for Lyon in his recent Ligue 1 win and now the American midfielder wants to do the same in UEFA Europa League game on Thursday.
Lyon starts his competition phase schedule with a trip to the Dutch Eredivisie Club FC Utrecht. Tessmann delivered his first goal of the season and his second general in Lyon colors when the French side beat 1-0 on Friday with 1-0. The former FC Dallas Academy product has remained a constant starter this summer in the Paulo Fonseca team, which results in a strong work percentage and endless reach in midfield.
With a heavy test against a good Utrecht side, Lyon can afford minimal mistakes on the road in the Netherlands.
