Manchester City moved within two points of the leaders with a win over Leeds United on Saturday, so Arsenal are under pressure to respond with a win over Chelsea today.
Mikel Arteta has announced an unchanged line-up for the team that defeated Tottenham 4-1 last weekend. David Raya once again retains his place in goal and Jurrien Timber starts at right back while Ben White is still missing.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes form Arsenal’s defense, while Piero Hincapie is selected ahead of Riccardo Calafiori at left-back. Martin Zubimendi retains his place in the guard role, so Christian Norgaard remains on the bench.
Declan Rice will look to continue his excellent form, while Eberechi Eze retains his place in attacking midfield after scoring a goal against Spurs last weekend. Martin Odegaard has been ruled out of today’s match.
Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard retain their places on the flanks for Arsenal, while Viktor Gyokeres leads the charge after scoring twice in the North London Derby. Kai Havertz is back on the bench after returning to fitness.
As for Chelsea, Reece James starts in defense along with Trevoh Chalobah, Malang Sarr and Jorrel Hato. Moises Caicedo starts in the holding role and is joined in the middle of the park by Andre Santos.
