ARSENAL have been in the transfer news a lot in recent weeks, so many players have been linked with a move to the Emirates, and there have even been a few players linked with a move away from the club.
But that doesn’t mean Arsenal aren’t looking to add some exciting young players to the squad, and after a few months of scouting it looks like the St. Mirren striker is on the verge of joining the Gunners.
The Sun’s report claims that Arsenal have made a move for Mooney, with the Scottish teenager the subject of talks between the Gunners and St Mirren. It is now believed that Arsenal are willing to pay £265,000 for the teenager before Monday’s transfer deadline.

There are quite a few Gunners fans who were hoping to see some big names move to the Emirates. They believe that Manchester City have improved the squad, and so should Mikel Arteta for the final few months of this season.
Mooney isn’t really a player that Arsenal fans would have heard much about, but he is a player that Arsenal have been watching over the last twelve months and now he is set to develop in that world-famous Arsenal academy.
ARSENAL will train him and hopefully mold him into a player who can potentially make a name for himself in the first team. He’s still a few years away from that, but he has a lot of potential.
It’s a huge decision to leave Scotland for Arsenal, but he won’t regret it as it will really benefit his development.
