Arne Slot has tried Liverpool’s need to strengthen their attack before the deadline of the transfer star if the club Alexander Isak does not sign.
This summer Liverpool punished the sale of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz and allowed Youngster Ben Doak to become a member of Bournemouth in a £ 25 million deal, and also lost Diogo Jota in tragic conditions.
Hugo Ekitike has become a member and Florian Wirtz also adds versatility, while Rio Ngumoha has been reserved this season for a more involved role.
With Mohamed Salah to leave for Afcon in December and January, Ngumoha is still only 16 and Federico Chiesa comes from a bit part campaign, the depth is doubtful.
The club has pursued Isak and had rejected an £ 110 million offer at the start of the month, and now only has a week to close a deal or to continue to an alternative target.
Although, when requested by reporters, including the GuardianIf he had a shortage of offensive depth, Slot said: “It depends on how you want to look at it. If you also see Florian Wirtz as an attacking option, you can make five of them [forwards].
“Yes, we sold Darwin, we brought in Hugo, Lucho is gone, but maybe you see Florian as his replacement.
“And yes, we all know what happened to Diogo. If you look at it like that, we may not have (have enough) but Jeremie Frimpong, if he is fit, is definitely an option to play as a winger, so then we end up for six attackers.
“We have six players who can play in three positions.

“I would consider Florian for more matches in that (false nine) position. But last season there were matches – City Away and Aston Villa gone – where we played with an extra midfielder such as Curtis Jones.
“It not only depends on bringing in an extra midfielder, but it depends on tactics, how they stand in line, all these kinds of things.
“He (Wirtz) is already an option to play as a left -wing player and he can be an option for the upcoming game. Cody also played a good match against Bournemouth.”
Virgil van Dijk does not quite agree
The season is long and Virgil van Dijk knows more than most of the value of having depth, and he underlined so much when speaking after the community shield earlier this month.
After the shootout spoken with reporters, Van Dijk was stated that Liverpool “now has so many attacking options”, to which he interrupted: “We?”
He said: “Well, we just lost Darwin, he went to Saudi and we lost Lucho, he clearly went to Bayern.
“I think there is always room for an attacker to strengthen ourselves, so let’s see what the window entails.”
Despite his desire to play the need for further reinforcements in the attack, which is normal behavior for a head coach, Slot has sustained the entire summer that the club will not hesitate to act if a suitable player becomes available.
