To celebrate the milestone 50 days before the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals in London, Table Tennis England will host the Britain’s Greatest Rally on Monday 9 March.
Table tennis clubs, community groups and organizations from across the country are being invited to help Table Tennis England reach 100,000 rallies as part of the celebratory event and the start of the final countdown to the World Championships in London.
Taking place at OVO Arena Wembley and the Copper Box Arena, the World Championships run from April 28 to May 10, 2026 and bring the world’s best players to England to compete for their country.
Table tennis England is aiming for Britain’s Greatest Rally to inspire the country to pick up a bat as part of these home world championships.
Experienced players, enthusiasts and anyone interested in table tennis are invited to join in and set up tables at their club, community centre, leisure center or school to engage their community in reaching the 100,000 rally mark.
Whether it’s an informal session, ladder competition or training evening, every rally counts!

Each venue requires an official witness who does not play but reports the total number of rallies to Table Tennis England.
The ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals London 2026 will take place from April 28 to May 10, with home country England taking part at the OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May during Phase 1A.
In Stage 1A, which involves the top seven seeds and England as hosts, the England women have been drawn against Japan, Germany and France, while the England men will face China, Sweden and the Republic of Korea as these countries battle for the seeding order in Stage 2.
This group stage will determine seedings for the Round of 32 in the Stage 2 knockouts, where the seedings will be joined by 24 teams from Nos. 9-56 qualifying through Stage 1B at the Copper Box Arena from April 28 to May 1.
Tickets are available from £15, with a limited number of tickets for the finals and matches in England still on sale.
