SAMCRO – Appears to no longer be actively training. He is a 13-year-old gelding trained by Gordon Elliott, and his racing profile shows no future racing entries. While I couldn’t find a specific announcement of his retirement, all indicators point to him being retired from racing.
BACARDYS – Appears to no longer be actively training. His last recorded victory was in June 2022, at the age of 11, in a novice pursuit (Wikipedia). Current race profiles show he has no future entries. Given his age (he’d be about 13 now, born in 2011) and the lack of any racing activity since 2022, it’s very likely he’s retired, although I couldn’t find a formal announcement of his retirement.
CHACUN POUR SOI – Definitely retired. Willie Mullins confirmed in July 2023 that this six-time Grade 1 winner retired at the age of 11 (The Irish Field). The horse went to live with Katie Walsh to start a new career after racing (Racing Post)
