Job description: The person in this position will manage all aspects of the sports program, including, but not limited to, exercise planning, game preparation/scouting, in-game coaching, recruitment, budgeting, planning, planning, team trips, equipment/clothing purchases, staff surveillance, payrolls, wage list, alumerni-eng a funds, Community services and general supervision of student atlets.

Masonry:

  • Perform training sessions to help with the development of team members, while staying up to date with current trends, tactics and techniques and managing the preparation of the game day and exploring opponents.
  • Recruit and retains qualified student athletes.
  • Monitors physical and mental health and well-being of team members, while working with professional staff to support the development and repair of student athletes.
  • Serves as a role model for team members with regard to personal and professional behavior by maintaining the department and team expectations with regard to general behavioral standard for student athletes.
  • Coordinates essential team functions, including planning of competitions, academic monitoring, eligible tracking, budget management, transport and supply purchases.
  • Hires, supervises and supervises assistant coaches, voluntary coaches and graduate students (if applicable)
  • Coordinates team funds, alumni engagement and efforts for community services.
  • Contributes to the general success of the athletics department by performing all other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities may include event management, facility supervision, assigned administrative tasks, committee work or representing the athletics department at conferences/meetings.

Essential function -requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s diploma from Accredited College of University is required.
  • Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Experience will be considered instead of a bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • Colleague playing experience strong.
  • Previous coaching experience at the collegial, high school and/or club level preference. At least three years of coaching experience preference.

Skills:

  • Demonstrable success in scouting, talent assessment and recruitment of qualified student athletes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills, either dealing with individuals or groups, and the ability to work well with different voters.
  • Strong initiative, details and follow-up skills with student athletes, employees and administration.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem -solving skills.
  • Possibility to set goals and achieve or exceed and get deadlines.

  • General computer knowledge with a skill in word and excel.

Special requirements:

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate and teach sports -specific skills.
  • Possibility to move over the campus and other locations.
  • Physical ability to include standing and/or walking for a long time, bending, kneeling and stooping, manual agility and the ability to lift and wear up to 30 pounds.

Overview:

  • Receive: Position reports to the assistant director of athletics.
