The case has yet to be presented for hearing.
The Supreme Court had on October 3 dismissed Ambani’s plea against the SBI decision, saying the plea was without merit.
The SBI had classified the accounts as fraud last year on the grounds of misappropriation of funds by entering into transactions that violated the terms and conditions of the loans it extended.
Ambani moved the HC arguing that the bench had not followed the principles of natural justice as it had not granted him a hearing.
Certain documents, on the basis of which the classification orders were issued, were not provided to him initially and were provided only after six months, the petition alleged.
The bank this year filed a complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which searched properties linked to Reliance Communications and Ambani’s residence.
The CBI said it had filed a complaint after the State Bank of India claimed losses of ₹2,929.05 crore due to alleged embezzlement by Reliance Communications and Anil Ambani.
