Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is stunned about the “weird” speculation about his future, because Spurs chairman Daniel Levy did not clarify his position in his message at the end of the season.
The Australian led Spurs to Europa League Glory on Wednesday to end their 17-year-old trophy-dried and to earn the qualification of Champions League.

“And I don’t doubt that this could be a real kind of decisive moment for this club, because wherever I am, I had a kind of impact where I have brought success in a club that has not had a while, and you just have to look at the process of those clubs, even after I left, they still compete for things.
“I really think this is a moment in the time where this club can really go on and can be a real candidate for an annual basis.”

The comments from Postecoglou come after Tottenham chairman Levy did not provide any guarantees about the long-term future of the former Celtic boss in his end-season report to fans, which was released before the defeat against Brighton.
Asked for his gut feeling in his future, Postecoglou replied: “My gut feeling is that I now feel that I have done something that nobody believed that I could. And I should not be here, sit there, talk about it. That is my feeling, but it is what it is.
“And I probably have it now because I am tired, size. It’s done. I don’t have to think about another game. I just want to take a break and enjoy my family and think about part of something incredible special.

“I was lucky to be in this position a number of times, but yesterday see those scenes and the people who have contacted me and talked to me about how it is influenced and what happened the last few days, that’s just a wonderful thing and I just want to enjoy it.
“To be honest, the rest, I don’t even want to talk about it. I just think it’s unnecessary.
“You are right to ask the question, but you ask the person who can’t give that answer. And I think even before you would not ask if there would be no doubt. But I can’t answer it. There is nothing that I can say that that question can answer. Other people can, so from my perspective, it cannot reduce the performance.
“I have so faith in what we can build at this football club, and I want to continue and take it to the next level and we will see if that happens or not.”
