Leicester cannot continue to play with ten men in the coming matches. Andy King is the favorite to become the next permanent Leicester manager as everything seems doomed. There is no news and only speculation about the next man in charge. Andy King is the bookmakers’ favorite. There are only fifteen games left in the season, and if a new guy comes in at this point, it should happen next week. You don’t have to do that later. Then you’re stuck with Andy King, who hasn’t yet managed to make his mark on anything. It seems like a huge relegation battle.

What we have seen since Andy King took over from Andy King is nothing. The team and players are the same, with the possible exception of Jemaal Lascelles, and will hopefully build momentum after his positive debut today.

Continuing to play with Andy King in the lead seems like a bad idea at this point, and so far there is nothing to build on from his first two games, defeats to Charlton and Birmingham. There’s a new game coming on Tuesday, hopefully we can see something from that game, otherwise change is needed. Marti Cifuentes had a long career as a manager at Sandefjord, Aalborg, Hammarby and Queens Park Rangers before taking over this difficult job. To believe that an unproven man, and his legacy, is all it takes to get this club out of this mess is to be naive.

We’d love to see Gary Rowett come in for a short job, and if he’s doing well, let him continue. The race looks strange at the moment. Russell Martin is a top choice alongside Andy King, but neither would be suitable for the role in the longer term. Leicester does not have a group of players that can play the type of football that these types of managers teach. It looks like an act of suicide. What is needed is for this to be made very simple.

Going back to all the nostalgia might suit some romance fans who always believe going back is the best solution to moving forward. We totally disagree.

Four debutants in one match is a lot. We saw Joe Aribo, Jamaal Lascelles, Dujuan Richards and Divine Mikasa involved. Aribo showed he can handle this division, but he was placed in midfield alongside Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Oliver Skipp but wasn’t utilized in the best way as his pace and movement never surfaced. Jamaal Lascelles played a good game and was solid. He played in his favorite position.

Dujuan Richards and Divine Mikasa had very little time to show themselves, but we believe Pep Guardiola when he rates Mikasa very highly. Andy King’s report that Dujuan Richards was an alternative to play on the wing. Hearing that almost made him throw up and he thought Richards would be a real challenger for the top spot. Leicester does not have a good attacking option. When you brought in four new players, this news about Dujuan Richards came as a shock.

Leicester don’t have enough physical presence to be a force in The Championship. Wilfred Ndidi is greatly missed and has not really been replaced. Oliver Skipp is currently the tackler in the team and he is doing his best. Harry Winks is not a tackler and the reason Leicester have not brought in this type of player makes it clear that Caleb Okoli or Jamaal Lascelles need to be pushed into midfield to get some physical presence in that area.

Another defeat at home to Southampton and shocking behavior among players on the pitch, making stupid mistakes, will obviously stop any progress. Hopefully Leicester can play eleven against eleven this time and give Andy King a good chance to show his value. The problem with all this is that you can’t really see a pattern of any kind, that’s the biggest concern. Most of what happens involves one man alone. The goalkeeper change was also a big mistake today, Asmir Begovic is not a solution, better try Fran Vieites or go back to Jacub. Certainly, the goalkeeper coach must be able to judge who is number one.
