Ansfa celebrates Ralph George’s Wafcon 2024 commentary Milpaal
The Anambra State Football Association (Ansfa) celebrates one of his own Ralph Chidozie George, for his remarkable commentary on the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) in Morocco.
George, a board member and chairman of Ansfa’s MediaComité, cried four games during the tournament-three group C-Games and the quarterfinals of Algeria vs Ghana-Die a historical achievement as the first Nigerian who has served as a main English commentator in recent years in recent years.
Iloenyosi shows praise over veteran -broadcaster
Describing George as a passionate and dedicated football fan, Ansfa chairman, Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi, praised the Supersport commentator for flying the State and Nigeria flag.

“We at Ansfa are very proud of our board member and chairman of our MediaComité for It has been selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and become the first head commentator from Nigeria who calls matches at every CAF tournament in recent times,” said Iloenyosi (Aka: General), said.
“It is a great achievement and we are extremely happy that one of our own such history has made.”
A pioneer in sports commentary
Ralph Chidozie George, popularly known as RCG, is an experienced sports journalist with more than 30 years of experience in leading Nigerian radio stations, including Radio Nigeria, Brila FM and Cosmo FM.
While CAF in the past has appointed Nigerian former players as color commentators, George was unique chosen for Wafcon 2024 as a lead English commentator, proof of his expertise and professionalism.
“We praise CAF for recognizing and choosing one of the best on the continent,” Iloenyosi added.

In addition to football, George also excelled in commentary on boxing, athletics and tennis – disciplines where his passion and precision continue to shine.
