Ruben Amorim joked that Sir Jim Ratcliffe de Manchester United manager offered a new contract after the couple gathered this week for conversations.
The Portuguese tacticus is under serious pressure after winning just one of their opening of four Premier League matches, making them the 14th in the table with four points.
After a chastice defeat against Manchester City last Sunday, Amorim has now supervised 17 losses in 46 games since last year taking the reins. The Red Devils were also beaten from the League Cup last month by the fourth Tiersby city.
Man Utd co-owner Ratcliffe flew to Manchester this week to meet Amorim, which increases speculation that the head coach could soon be discharged from his position.
Amorim, however, said that he and the British billionaire participated in “normal conversations” about “normal things” compared to the team.

“He offered me a new contract!”, The 40-year-old in his press conference before the competition prior to Chelsea on Saturday in Old Trafford.

“After the last game, the way we suffered the goals, we can avoid that. We are naive, we must be more aggressive.
“To win more games, we have to keep the way we play, but improve in the box of the opponent and our box. That has been the focus of the week, especially if you play Chelsea.
“If they cross, they have more guys in the box and we have suffered a little against Fulham, so we worked a lot during the week to be better at that.”
