Tulsa, Okla. – The All AmericansECHL affiliate of the NHL Ottawa Senatorsfaced the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday night in the second game of a three-game series and it was the Americans who held on for a 5-3 win at the BOK Center before a crowd of 7,231.

The Americans continued to struggle to put the puck in the net as they, like Tulsa, were shut down in the opening frame. That made it five straight periods without a goal for the Americans. They closed the opening period with a five-minute power play. Roman Kinal was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for headbutting Danny Katic. The Americans defeated Tulsa 11-10 in the opening frame.

Sam Stange opened the scoring with his fourth of the season at 1:17. 50 seconds later the Americans were back on the board when Harrison Blaisdell scored his first of the night and 15e of the year to make it a 2-0 Allen lead. Another Tulsa Penalty equalized another powerplay opportunity from the American, and they conceded for the third time in the second frame when Harrison Blaisdell scored his second of the match to make 16e of the year. One more goal later in the period and this time Captain Colton Hargrove with his 16e of the season and the fourth power play goal of the period for the Americans. Allen took a 4-0 lead into the third period, going 4-for-5 on the power play.

The Oilers made things interesting in the third frame, scoring three times in a span of six minutes. Two of three goals from Oilers forward Tyrell Goulbourne, but the Americans dashed hopes of a rally in Tulsa with an empty-net goal late in the third period from Sam Stange. His second of the game and fifth of the season. The Americans will go for the series victory on Sunday afternoon at 3:05 PM
