This week’s American Express 2026 was only the second tournament of the 2026 PGA Tour season and it did not disappoint. Scottie Scheffler, number 1 in the world, dueled with several star players on Sunday with a lot of money at stake. In total, the players fought for their share of the huge $9.2 million purse.
That’s a lot of money, especially if you’re an 18-year-old rookie like Blades Brown. Brown impressed golf fans this week, keeping up with Scheffler throughout. His biggest highlight came on Friday, when he just missed a 59 score, settling for a 12-under 60.
But there were plenty of other proven PGA Tour stars in the race as the tournament reached its climax this weekend. This includes 54-hole leader Si Woo Kim.
Other popular players made for a promising start to the season, including Rickie Fowler, Jason Day and Max Homa.
