Champion Bathurst driver Amanda Turnbull does not take too many discs outside the horses of her family.
Nevertheless, she quickly agreed to improve the Square-Gaiter im Bobby in Tabcorp Park Menangle on Saturday evening when the Harness Racing Voeling pursues his fourth consecutive victory with four different drivers.
IM Bobby has signed Gate Nine in Race 4, the Wards Accounting Group Trotters Mobile, and has a good record in two menangle runs with a victory and a second in his only two starts on the number 1 track.
James Herbertson, Blake Jones and Tasmyn Potter have all been successful in recent weeks, because the six -year -old gelding still keeps stylish trotters at bay.
“I got the call and I saw im Bobby a bit, but apart from that I don’t know much about him,” Turnbull said.
His most difficult rival is probably another Victorian visitor Aldebaran Zeus, who will have the services of Blake Fitzpatrick.
Aldebaran Zeus must be fed up with the back of IM Bobby, who finished not far before him during his three most recent runs.
Turnbull also has four runners of her own stable that goes around during the meeting.
“Fashion icon (Race 1) has a better draw this week and you have to take care of it a little early,” Turnbull said.
“Hopefully he will find a good place and if we can do that, he must go well.
Turnbull has two runners in Race 6 and she has chosen to control Princess Ballerina while standing up the young Reinsman Jye Coney, she will send the devil.
“Princess Ballerina did not do much racing, but she went to the last start and ran a nice fourth,” said Turnbull.
“She the devil is a bit in the ranking, but it should be interesting to see how she is going and she has to deal with them reasonably well.”
In Race 7, Turnbull drives her well -executed mare Scarlett May.
“She’s not hit much and we keep going and hopefully picking up one of these races,” she said.
“It’s a little better this week and you just have to get the right run in the right week and you get your chance.”
Turnbull also drives Windy Hill Tara for her father Steve in Race 5.
“She had a pretty tough run in Bathurst on Wednesday evening, but from Gate 10 we will try to swing inside and use her speed.”
