Other signatories of the letter to mention include: the American Academy of Pediatrics; the American College of Emergency Physicians; the American College of Surgeons; the American Psychiatric Association; The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists American College of Physicians.

“While you determine standards to define categories of H-1B employees that fall under this exception, we recommend that all doctors, including medical residents, fellows, researchers and those who work in non-clinical institutions are of crucial importance for our national interest and exempt from the proclamation,” said the groups in their letter to their letter.
