Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has told supporters what they should do to help him and his teammates enjoy a fast start of the new season.
United defeated Fiorentina
Bayindir started in Doel when United Fiorentina defeated penalties after the game ended in a 1-1 draw after normal time.
Fiorentina went on early via Simon Sohm, who made full use of a bad set piece defensive by the hosts.
But United did not follow for long and quickly hit back from a corner when Robin Gosens changed the ball into the back of his own net while he was under pressure from Casemiro and Leny Yoro.
Both parties had opportunities to score, but neither could find a winner. A penalty shootout followed the 90 minutes, which won United 5-4.
Bayindir saved a rescue before Kobbie Mainoo sent the winning spot kick to crown the Red Devils the Snapdragon Cup overlines.

Asked for his growing reputation as a good penalty piller, Bayindir said: “Yes, it’s a good feeling. It’s a very good feeling if you can save the penalty. If you think you can help the team, it’s a great feeling.”
Asked how preparations of the team the Premier League opener vs. Arsenal have been next weekend, Bayindir replied: “Yes, we have had good preparations with the team. We work every day and we work for every competition.”
“We had good preparations in America. We have improved ourselves, I think and we are still working. I hope we can continue to win in the next game.”
“Our team is now ready for every game and we have to stand on the field together and fight for our fans. They must always support us, from the media, Old Trafford and everywhere. They already did these things and it is a very important energy for us if we feel they are behind us.”
On how the mood is in the dressing room, Bayindir replied: “If you want to become a team, you have to be together – all players and all staff. We have to work together and in America we have done these things and we still do these things.”
“At the moment we have a very good energy and we want to keep this energy.”
The international of Turkey emphasized that he and his teammates are ready for the Arsenal game.
“Yes. For us it doesn’t matter which team we will play. You already know that every game is important in the Premier League. This week we will work for Arsenal and from there, step by step, at the next game, we will prepare ourselves.
