BBC Sport has now reported that their understanding is that Alexander Isak will miss the Player of the Year Awards on Tuesday evening.
The PFA awards are organized in Manchester.
It feels a long time ago, when we reported (see below) about Alexander Isak who was one of the six PFA player of the year nominations for the 2024/25 season.
The five players Alexander Isak are against his Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister, Cole Palmer from Chelsea, Arsenal’s Declan Rice and Man U’s Bruno Fernandes.
BBC Sport that have indicated their sources that Alexander Isak has been set to avoid the event, while they understand that the striker has not been in contact with the PFA organizers to say whether he is planning to be present or not.

‘Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is not expected to attend the Awards Gala of the Professional Footballers’ Association on Tuesday evening.
The Sweden International has been nominated for the main prize, but can miss the ceremony in the midst of constant uncertainty about his future in St James’ Park.
Isak is currently in the middle of an impasse with Newcastle during his ambition to join Liverpool before the Transfer Deadline.
Just over 24 hours before the prices, BBC Sport has learned that Isak has to confirm its presence in the position, which will be held in the Manchester Opera House, and doubts whether he is planning to appear.
Indeed, other sources have indicated that Isak – as things are standing – does not intend to attend the event.
Previous PFA Award -nominees and players who have been selected in the teams of the year of their respective division have confirmed their presence within the last 24 hours before the ceremony, so it is still to see whether Isak will make a late decision.
Even this close to the gala, it is likely that the PFA would welcome the presence of Isak.
The 25-year-old is currently not training with the first team of Eddie Howe and there will be no indications for a reintegration soon.
Attending the PFA ceremony could leave Isak in an uncomfortable place in view of the controversy about his future. ‘
