Alex Pereira’s Knock -Out Macht interviewed by the coach of Magomed Ankalaev for UFC 320 | Bjpenn.com

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira has no one-punch knockout power, according to the old coach of Magomed Ankalaev.

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Magomed Ankalaev’s first title defense comes against the man against whom he has won a title, Alex Pereira, in the UFC 320 Main Event this Saturday in Las Vegas. The Rematch only comes a few months after Ankalaev Pereira defeated the unanimous decision to put an end to the historic light heavyweight title of Pereira.

While Pereira filled all Takedown attempts from Ankalaev on UFC 313, he was unable to give Ankalaev a serious challenge with his elite kickboxing. Ankalaev was able to surpass Pereira during their first fight, including an early knock -down who changed the tide to the challenger’s advantage.

Before he fell to Ankalaev, Pereira’s light heavyweight reign included brutal knockouts about Jamahal Hill, Jiri Prochazka and Khalil Rountree Jr. Despite his recent history of finishes in the Octagon, the power of Pereira is not a threat in the spirit of Ankalaev’s team.

The coach of Magomed Ankalaev claims that Alex Pereira has no KO power of one punch for UFC 320

During the UFC 320 CountdownHead coach Sukhrab Magomedov wrote Pereira prior to Saturday’s rematch.

“Alex is going to struggle for the conflict. Why? Because in the stand-up nothing will work for him,” Magomedov said about Pereira. “Alex Pereira, there is nothing he can surprise us. Not his work in the stand-up, he certainly can’t surprise in wrestling. He can’t surprise anything. His technique is standard, his strikes are standard. He is an old kickboxer. He has no speed. Powerful punch? Alex has a blow, but not the kind that you can really switch off.

“And I say to everyone, when Magomed opens, he will surprise everyone, and he can even surpass a better striker than Alex Pereira in pure stand-up.” ((H/T MMA Fighting))

Pereira and Ankalaev came in during a recent face-to-face meeting at the UFC Performance Institute. Months of Scherts on social media between the two parties have fueled the bad blood between the two light heavyweight stars.

If Pereira can take revenge against Ankalaev this weekend, a trilogy between them can be the next deck. For now, Bad Blood is brewing for the UFC 320 headliners.
