Brisbane Lions defender Noah Answerth has sold his Norman Park investment property.
Brisbane Lions defender Noah Answerth and his fiancée Queensland Firebirds netballer Macy Gardner have doubled their money on a Queensland investment property and sold the renovated family home in just four days.
The couple sold the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Brisbane’s Norman Park for $1.42 million – double the $719,000 Answerth paid for the property in 2019.

The premiership-winning AFL player bought the house as a 19-year-old, shortly after being called up to Brisbane from Melbourne.
It was his first property purchase – a significant investment for a teenager starting his AFL career.
“I had been in Brisbane for less than 12 months when I bought my first house,” says Answerth.
“I lived in it for six years before it became an investment property that I rented through Ray White.”

He said he couldn’t believe the house sold so quickly.
“The house sits on a 405 m² plot of land and features open plan living and dining areas and a wooden terrace,” says Answerth.
He attributed much of the property’s appeal to the extensive landscaping work his father and uncle completed early on on his property.
“When I first bought it, my dad, who is a landscaper and hedge trimmer, helped turn it around with my uncle,” Answerth said.
“We have done a lot to the house in recent years.”

Ray White Metro North director David Treloar put the house on the market at 173 Macrossan Ave.
“Although we expected strong interest from buyers given the popularity of Norman Park and the condition of the house, a sale within four days shows how competitive the market is for well-presented properties in this price range,” Mr Treloar said.

Answerth purchased another property just 600 meters away in 2022, where he currently lives, with plans to potentially rebuild in his favorite Brisbane suburb.
“Norman Park is Brisbane’s most underrated suburb,” said Answerth.
“For me, coming from Melbourne, the lifestyle was most similar: the streets and parks, the characterful homes and residential areas that have a real family feel.
“There are loads of parks nearby, which is perfect for my two dogs.”

He said the location also proved ideal for his professional commitments.
“It’s so easy to go to the Gabba for training,” he said.
PropTrack data shows the median home price in Norman Park is $1.675 million, an increase of 20.7 percent over a twelve-month period.
