Adam Peaty’s brother shares bizarre photo outside wedding location after ‘ban’

The layers behind Adam Peaty’s family feud have deepened thanks to a social media post his estranged brother shared.

Yesterday the Olympic swimmer, 30, married Holly Ramsay, 25 – model and daughter of Gordon Ramsay – but the run-up to their big day was anything but blissful.

Instead, it was marred by drama, with Adam’s mother reportedly banned from attending the ceremony, while Holly’s childhood friend Brooklyn Beckham also gave her way out.

Now Adam’s brother, James, has made a pointed post on Instagram after being removed from the guest list himself.

In his Story, the day after the wedding, James shared an old photo of himself and mother Caroline standing outside Bath Abbey, where Adam and Holly said: ‘Yes, I do.’

He wrote “Merry Christmas” in a cursive font next to it, adding a number that could have had a dark, hidden meaning.

His favorite song was a remix of Speak Softly, Love, featured in the 1972 film The Godfather.

The iconic crime film, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, is part of a trilogy and tells the story of the Corleone family, where patriarch Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) hands over his empire to his youngest son.

Michael (Al Pacino) reluctantly joins the mafia as an outsider while trying to maintain a normal relationship with his wife Kay (Diane Keaton).

This has led to speculation that James could be comparing the Ramsay family to the Corleones, of which Adam is the ‘outsider’ from a different walk of life.

According to the Daily mailthe photo was only active for 15 minutes before it was deleted, suggesting that James may have changed his mind by acting rashly.

It was the only post visible on his account during that period, as he deleted all images from his feed.

Adam and James’ relationship hit the headlines after the athlete returned from his bachelor party in Budapest, with his father-in-law Gordon present.

Upon landing at Manchester Airport, Adam was escorted off the plane by police after receiving threats.

James was subsequently arrested and released on bail after allegedly sending Adam verbal threats, prompting authorities to intervene.

A police statement at the time confirmed that a 34-year-old man had been arrested ‘on suspicion of intimidation’.

“The man has been released on conditional bail while our investigations continue,” she added.

Sources later claimed that “Adam sees his mother enabling his brother’s actions,” which only further widened the distance between them.

The gold medalist has not publicly discussed the situation with James, writing in a statement on social media in November that he, Holly and sister Bethany “cannot go into detail given an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that occurred well before recent events.”

While Adam is apparently only now close to Bethany from his immediate family, his father, Mark, reportedly attended his wedding.

In stark contrast to Bethany acting as a bridesmaid alongside Holly’s sister Tilly, Mark was reportedly told to sit at the back ‘behind the plus ones’, although he was not photographed.

He was then seen walking his dog the day after the celebrations, cutting a somber figure outside the family home in Staffordshire.

Initially Adam’s mother planned to ruin the wedding day, promising to ‘watch from the street’, but later backed out, with reports claiming husband Mark had convinced her she would be ‘too upset’ as a result.

A relative added to The Sun that Caroline had accepted “it would be too sad and she doesn’t want to ruin his big day.”

Nevertheless, Caroline was ‘beside herself’ after missing her son’s wedding, admitting to the Daily Mail that she felt like Holly and Adam had ‘cut my heart out’.

It was also claimed that Adam’s aunt, Louise, who was also not invited to the wedding, told the sportsman by text message before tying the knot: ‘I hope you never suffer the pain you caused your mother and despite everything she still loves you. Shame on you both. Shame.

“On this, your happiest day, and on every anniversary of your happiest day, remember that you have hurt your mother so deeply that her soul cries out.”

Adam’s relationship with his parents is said to be at a ‘record low’ now, but he has been warmly adopted into the Ramsay family by in-laws Gordon and Tana.

Celebrity chef Gordon expressed his approval of his daughter’s choice of husband ahead of the ceremony, posting a message of support on Instagram.

“I’m truly so lucky to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and have an incredible son-in-law @adam_peaty!” he wrote.
