“Well, there are many,” Dafoe replied.

“And it’s not just about bad theater,” he said. “I can’t imagine that Donald Trump will program a good series of performances in the Kennedy Center. I don’t want to go off a rabbit hole here.”

New members of the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees include Second Lady Usha VanceStaff chef from the White House Susie Wiles, and deputy Staff Chef Dan Scavino of the White House.

Dafoe added that theater is important to him and is crucial for society.

“I think it is important as a place to come together and see where we are and what could happen. Because somewhere between the pandemic and the progress in technology, everyone in his own little bubble lives,” Dafoe told Deadline.

“So the discourse sometimes comes a bit blocked, and that sometimes has a negative effect because other people can take care of business when everyone is busy in their small world. So Theater represents a place to come together in a very vital way and to think about where we are and think about a reality other than those who have virtually given us.”

Dafoe has appeared in various Hollywood-Blockbuster films, including “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, the “Spider-Man”, directed by Sam Raimi, and the Oscar-winning “poor things” last year.

Dafoe did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Fox News Digital also reached for the Kennedy Center for comment, but did not immediately hear again.
