He submitted to Fusion Fight League Boom Town Brawls Nick Tomlinson in the first round. Gonzales defeated Corey Willis via technical knockout in the first round. He then defeated Faber’s A1 Combat 13 at Urijah Luis Schwenke by unanimous decision. Gonzales defeated Richard Foster via TKO in the second round at Cage Warriors Northwest 5. He defeated Mike Morales via technical knockout in round one at Valley Fight Series 14. Defeated Gonzales Justin Davis via TKO in the third round. He defeated Caleb Avila at Tuff N Uff 146 via unanimous decision.

In the main event of CFFC 148 he submitted Anthony Guarascio via keylock in the second round. The win gave Gonzales his second pro submission win, in addition to becoming the CFFC Heavyweight Champion. He also earned his eighth overall victory as a professional mixed martial artist.
