The role of Christian Pulisic for AC Milans Saturday Serie A Showdown with Udinese is currently indefinite.
AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri still has to determine whether Pulisic will start or comes from the bank prior to Saturday’s league match. Pulisic played 25 minutes in a 1-0 win over Bologna on September 14, which was the first game of Rossoneri after the international break.
The National Team star of the American men started this summer in two of his four club performances and scored twice in all competitions. After a busy few USMNT appearances against South Korea and Japan, the fitness of Pulisic was closely followed by Allegri, while trying to keep his star on the field for most of the coming season.
“Pulisic is much better, he came up and did well [against Bologna]. He is really a good player, “said Allegri on Friday during his press conference in the prematch.” Tomorrow I will decide if I want to start him. On Tuesday we have an important knockout match.
“Christian was out with his ankle for a while, then he returned from international duty,” Allegri added. “He is a strong player, he can play 30, 60, 90 minutes. He is strong, but when he is on the field, he is an impactful player.”
AC Milan takes on Udinese on Saturday before he is confronted with Lecce in Coppa Italia four days later. The Rossoneri will also be confronted with reigning competition champion Napoli and title Hoopvol Juventus in the following, taking an early test for Allegri’s team in their search for silverware.
