Joel Tozer heads Four Corners, Chris Bendall moves to Insiders.
The ABC announced this 7:30′s Joel Tozer as executive producer of Four corners and Chris Bendall, formerly of The projectas executive producer of Insiders.
Tozer (pictured left) replaces Matthew Carney, who announced his departure last month after a 25-year career at the ABC.
Joel Tozer is executive producer of 7:30 am been working on it since mid-2022 and before 60 minutes. He has won several Walkley Awards as well as a number of other awards in the field of journalism. He will continue to report to and work closely with Head of Research and Current Affairs Jo Puccini.
“The Four corners team delivers excellent journalism and it is a privilege to step into a role shaped by such talent. Leading the program in 2026 is an extraordinary opportunity and I am thrilled to be leading a team that is committed to journalism and truly moving the national conversation,” he said.

Chris Bendall (pictured right) succeeds Sam Clark, who became editor-in-chief of ABC National News last month. He has more than 20 years of background in television news and current affairs, with a passion for politics. He has been working on Ten’s for the past 10 years The projectthe last five as executive producer.
