A ten -list about travel – Travel Friday

I have My big sister To thank you for the fact that I started a blog a whole few years ago. She was early to put the step in cyber space, it took me a long time to sneak softly. Can happen that I have pulled hair for everyone from the start Mollgan-The friends, how sincerely can an internet buddy be? Then I registered my own domain and suddenly got a lot of their own cyber acquisitions, some of which have become good friends over time.

My acid “is regularly seen” with a few new blogs via video bags. Sometimes they perform joint lists with different heads on their respective blogs. And I love lists, especially when it comes to traveling. I dare that Anna I Portugal Were involved in choosing the theme this time? That said, I am clearly joining Blog Brides’ last 10th, this time about traveling!

A ten -list about traveling

#1. 2015 versus 2025, Has your thoughts about traveling changed over the past 10 years? Both of physical and mental aspect?

Our youngest daughter was born in October 2014, which meant that 2015 was “her” year complete. I traveled a lot during Nelly’s first year of life, always in tow. By that time I felt very cold and relaxed in parenting. The third and last child can simply be the hand.

Trip to Taiwan

One of our first joint journeys that year went to Taiwan. I felt strong, invincible and certainly quite stubborn. I thought it was clear to drag her on the adventurous country and the kingdom. Now, ten years later, I am much more afraid of myself. In other words, from a “mental aspect” I am a little less chill today. Or a bit on the road? Terribly. What it is because I don’t really know, but it is a development that I don’t like.

I still travel, both far away and close. Traveling and traveling will probably always be part of my identity – although I am much more anxious nowadays. I like to come home, maybe almost as much as traveling. Does it have to do with age? Maybe.

#2. Tell us about a trip/destination that has had a deep impression on you on a personal level?

Myanmar

The trip to Myanmar (Burma) that I still think of at regular intervals. I traveled there as a girl sponsor and traveling reporter for Plan International and spent a few days with a group of mixed ages. We have shared many special moments and I still have contact with a few girls from the trip. We have visited both operations and various Buddhist temples, pagoden and monasteries on the trip, there are thousands in the country. I came back from the journey with a feeling of gratitude, but also a general sense of meaning and thoughts about my own faith.

#3. Tell us about the first slightly longer journey you remember

My first longer journey went to Björnrike to ski. I went to eight and during the sports holiday I was allowed to hang out with married family members to the mountains to make my debut of life in the skiings. It was also the first time I passed Stockholm, a city that I thought it was north for a very long time.

Grab the mountains
Packing for the first ski trip of life (little sister was skeptical).

I came home with the following experiences in the luggage:

  • Debut as a downhill
  • Lift trauma (still stays in)
  • New awakened addiction to Sportlunch (which I tasted for the first time)
  • Secret love in my ski teacher
  • First flight in life (remember that I fell some tears of happiness and fascination when I saw the clouds among me)
  • Cold with accompanying eye infection

Yes. So it seemed, the first longer journey I remember.

#4. What kind of Packer are you? What does your “gasket process” look like?

I am starting to be experienced considerably by that time. When I am alone, I almost always travel with hand luggage, everything else feels unreasonable.

Travel by train suitcase

I usually throw everything I want to pack in bed and finally pick out about half. Nowadays I always use packing bags, I hardly understand how I managed it without them? In the bookshelf there are two boxes devoted to travel gadgets. There are most of the things that I usually travel, everything, from loaders and power banks to camera fatters, memory cards and travel portfolios. Packing does not give me fear, on the contrary, it’s pretty fun.

#5. Which way or which means of transport are you preferred when you travel abroad? Feel free to motivate.

Road Trip Albania

If there is a chance, I would like to drive a car, both to the destination and in time. Having a car available means enormous freedom! Some destinations require flights and it is. The train is of course great when and if that option is available. Boat? Hm, unfortunately I don’t feel very comfortable with that means.

#6. Which destination is high on your bucket list, but as you know/think you will never visit? Why do you want to go there and why don’t you get there?

Antarctica has been on my bucket list for a long time. It seems so wild, so beautiful, so fascinating. And so far away! But maybe some dreams should just dream.

#7. The most underrated small cities of Sweden, charming places that people usually pass by

Kinda Kanal Östergötland

Can I make it easy and refer to the Swedish pearls of my TRAVEL Friday blog series? There are enough!

#8. Plan everything in advance or take it as it comes?

Planning everything in advance risks inviting disappointments. Experiences so strong that every small step of the “plan” can be seen as a failure when they travel with the family. On the other hand, if we are open and spontaneous, any deviation can be a bonus instead. Wow, what is this for the nice exit, we take it!

At the same time, meticulous planning and pre -bookings are required in restaurants (For example, the finer variants of the Faroe Islands), Museum (almost all in Amsterdam) and some means of transport (the fast trains in Korea) – which in turn can lead to disappointments when I miss dreams because I “just want to be spontaneous”. Hard balancing!

#9. What is the worst thing you experienced during a trip?

I have a number of terrible travel memories that I have written about here on the blog: my worst travel memories. I have rarely been so scared as when I was harassed in Morocco 25 years ago in a bus in Morocco.

#10. Which or which are your strawberry stains?

Sturkö Karlskrona Blekee

Sturkö in my heart. Then, now and always. ❤️
