A man from Michigan warned the police that he was worried about his safety – when he was not responding to the sidewalk, fighting for his life.
Haider Al Fadawi, 40, visited the Dearborn Police Office on Saturday about an alleged attack that took place on August 21 and to “express concerns for his safety,” the police said. Al Fadawi, who recorded the exchange, was wiped by the authorities, according to his lawyers.
Later that day, around 10.45 pm, Fadawi was already over Michigan Avenue in Dearborn when a dark -colored SUV lanes crossed, accelerated and hit him, the police of Dearborn said.
The incident seemed to be intentional, the authorities said.
When officers already found fadawi, he did not lie on the sidewalk and suffered from life -threatening injuries. They immediately started life -saving measures before taking him to a local hospital.

Various blocks of the crash, witnesses saw the SUV director leave his car and flee on foot, the police said. He then turned 30 minutes later.
The police arrested the 38-year-old Murtadha Jabbar Alizaiij. He is held in prison on a cash bond of $ 750,000.
The office of the public prosecutor in Wayne County accused him of three crime charges: abuse with the intention of killing, abuse with the intention of doing a lot of physical injury and attacking with a dangerous weapon. He was presented on Monday, where a judge ordered him to wear a GPS -Tether device.
He is then in court on 3 September.
Al Fadawi stays in the hospital and is in critical but stable state, according to the police. He suffers from a traumatic brain injury, his lawyer Amir Makled said Fox2.
“He will really have a very difficult quality of life when he survives,” said Makled. “We want justice for Haider. We want to confirm that he will have a complete recovery, and that is the very first and most important thing.”
The lawyer told Wxyz That his client is a father for seven children and is a lively part of the community. “It is incomprehensible that someone would like to do something so deliberately to hurt someone else about something like minuscuuls,” Makled said.
A continuous police investigation showed that Al Fadawi and Alizaiij “knew each other well for more than 20 years”.

The police said the incident came from a ‘business dispute’. Al Fadawi worked as a truck driver for Alizaiij before he was released a few months ago after he complained about insufficient insurance on the vehicles, his lawyer told WXYZ.
Al Fadawi “therefore received a traffic stick, and the company did not respond to the traffic map, and that is what Haidar made so much upset,” Makled said the outlet. “That is what this dispute has caused, it is more than a traffic ticket of $ 500.”
“There is a video of the incident, but there are many videos of the victim who threaten my client, threaten his family, insult everyone. This is built up,” Abbed Hammoud, lawyer for Alizaiij, told Wxyz.
The details of the alleged attack that took place on August 21 are not immediately available.
The independent has contacted their lawyers for more information.
“Public safety is our highest priority and we take all concern seriously. We understand that the community has questions and are committed to guaranteeing trust through transparency and accountability,” said Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin in a statement.
The police said they revised the interaction of Al Fadawi with officers during his visit to the police station.
“Every person who deals with the Dearborn Police Department must be treated with dignity, respect and empathy – always,” said Dearborn Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud in a statement. ‘Although the suspect is in custody and that investigation continues, we also launch a thorough assessment of the previous interactions of the victim with our department. Trust and accountability are not optional – they are required. “
