Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson are reportedly looking for cash and are planning secret auctions to sell royal valuables before they are evicted from the Royal Lodge.
The former Duke and Duchess of York, who were stripped of their titles last year and ordered to leave the Windsor mansion, are said to have put the palace on high alert.
Andrew and Fergie, who have lived at Royal Lodge rent-free for 22 years, have been given a deadline to vacate the property by January 31.
The former prince agreed to terminate his lease on the sprawling home after years of pressure from King Charles and the Royal House, despite having a “75-year cast-iron lease.”
Following their eviction, the former prince will move to the king’s private estate, Sandringham, while Fergie will have to fend for herself.
The news comes as Andrew is reportedly unlikely to receive any compensation he was entitled to due to the ‘dilapidated condition’ he left the 30-bedroom mansion in.

The former royal was set to receive £488,000 ($A983,000) for returning the mansion before the end of his 75-year lease, but its poor condition and need for extensive repairs make it unlikely he will receive any money.
Earlier this week it was revealed that no Crown Estate inspections of the property took place during the 22 years Andrew lived there, despite the lease requiring strict maintenance.
Now it is feared the pair are collecting items such as “private letters, recordings and jewellery” and are making plans to “auction them to the highest bidder”, according to Radaronline.
“The appearance of even a single item would cause immediate and widespread consequences,” a source claimed to the newspaper.
The former Duke and Duchess of York were ordered to leave the Royal Lodge.
“But Andrew and Sarah seem intent on turning the Lodge into something of a pawn shop, collecting goods they think they can auction off to the highest bidder.
“If they continue, their exit from royal life could end in the most volatile way yet.”
Another source said some of the alleged valuables have “deep historical and emotional significance” because of their ties to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
“Even if Andrew claims they are his to sell, the visual impact of putting them on the market would be very damaging,” they claimed.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams criticized the lack of inspections as “another example of a sweetheart deal between the Crown Estate and Andrew.”

“This revelation is all the more surprising when you consider that Andrew has been involved in so many high-profile disasters in recent years, and that until recently no one had thought to inspect the condition of the property,” Fitzwilliams told the newspaper. Daily mail.
In November, the chief executive of the Crown Estate told the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee that it was “common practice” for visits to be made on a “need-only” basis to ensure “effective use of public money”.
