Last season Philadelphia lost various players due to long -term injuries. One of them was Rookie SG Jared McCain. He suffered a torn meniscus in his knee and needed seasonal operation. McCain recently spoke with “Sixers on Si” and mentioned his disappointment with the Sixers this season outside the season. McCain is said to be “sad” that the Guerschon Yabusele team could not sign again.

With the 16th Pick in the NBA design of 2024, the 76 -year -old Jared McCain from Duke selected. As Rookie he played in 23 games and made eight starts for Philadelphia. In December McCain suffered a torn meniscus. Unfortunately, McCain needed seasonal operation and missed 59 total matches for the Sixers. He on average 15.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per match.
Moreover, McCain shot a solid .383% from outside the bow like a rookie. Jared McCain recently spoke with “Sixers of Si” and discussed why he is “sad” this season. The 21-year-old said he was upset that the 76ers could not again sign Guerschon Yabusele. Instead, the Sixers let him walk and he drew with the Knicks.

Jared McCain said how he was attracted to Yabusele and always chose his brain for advice. Guerschon Yabusele was a quality trade player for the 76 people in 2024-25. After he was away from the NBA for four seasons, Yabusele got the chance with the Sixers last year and he capitalized. He played in 70 of their 82 games and made 43 starts. Yabusele on average a career-high 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per match.
This season outside the season, Guerschon Yabusele was said to be “Low-Balled” by 76ers GM Daryl Morey. Yabusele said he would have returned to Philadelphia if the money was right. Although the range is low, Yabusele has no hard feelings compared to the 76 people. They were the team that gave him a second chance in the NBA. He is grateful for that, but he plays for a new team in 2025-26.
