Banner #1 – Football gets a signature win in Oregon

After rising to No. 7 in the AP Poll during their bye week, IU football played perhaps the biggest game in program history Saturday afternoon. When the Hoosiers fell to national power and No. 3 Oregon, they had a chance to legitimize their rise as a program in recent years.

Mission accomplished. Indiana went into Eugene and controlled the game against the Ducks. Finally, quarterback Fernando Mendoza shook off a fourth-quarter interception and threw the go-ahead goalkeeper to Elijah Sarratt late. Then the defense, which dominated in the trenches all day, capped it off with two late interceptions.

The final score was 30-20 as the Hoosiers improved to 6-0 and handed Oregon its first conference loss since joining the Big Ten. This result puts Indiana ahead of the championship game and solidifies them as a national title contender.

With its toughest games behind it, IU returns to Memorial Stadium for a home game against Michigan State. Kickoff takes place at 3:30 PM ET, with coverage streamed on Peacock.

After Big TeN Media day, the last big piece of the puzzle was announced. Both hoops have been released their final schedule with start times and television information.

Given the roster turnover, a lot is unknown about how good Indiana could be under new head coach Darian DeVries. As a result, the unofficial media poll has projected Indiana in the middle of the pack.

Banner #3 – Recruitment Updates

The new technical staff is working hard to secure top prospects for the coming seasons. Several visits from top high school players are planned, including priority target Vaughn Carvala.

As the Hoosiers look to close out their 2026 class, some of the players the Hoosiers are recruiting the hardest will announce very soon whether IU is their choice.
