In a nod to one of the most celebrated names in the American Porsche tuning, Porsche has unveiled a new 911 GT3 Andial Design Wrap during Monterey Car Week, in honor of the 50 -year anniversary of Andial, the legendary motorsportoutfit that helped to define Porsche performance in the United States. While five decades separate the original 935-LL of the type 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 of today, both machines embody the same core philosophy: applying pure motorsport technology to make road and track cars faster, capable and more sustainable. And in true and in the way it’s not just about speed – it’s about soul.
Andial: The Porsche Tuning Powerhouse that conquered America
Founded in 1975 by Arnold Wagner (“An”), Dieter Inzenhofer (“DI”) and Alwin Springer (“Al”), the name of Andial is an acronym formed from the founders – an appropriate symbol for the partnership it built. From the modest beginning in southern California, the company became the go-to-authority for Porsche performance in America.
Whether it is about building bulletproof racing engines for IMSA competition or tuning street cars to factory-complaining specifications, the influence of Andial was felt everywhere collected Porsche enthusiasts everywhere. Their cars were winners in Daytona, Sebring and Circuits in North America, who deserved a reputation for technical precision, reliability and racing-shaped innovation.
The 935-L fought for glory in some of the most debilitating races in history, while the GT3 continues to dominate as a benchmark for Precision Road-Legal Track Cars. Different eras, different technologies, but the same inexorable dedication to performance.
Much of the tuning expertise of Andial was forged in the melting pot of Endurance Racing, with 24-hour events demanding absolute reliability of each component. Those lessons flowed directly to StraatAuto performance packages, giving customers the opportunity to enjoy racing formations on public roads without sacrificing.
From the 935-L to the modern GT3: a visual connection over generations
The most famous and Van de Liveries adorned the Porsche 935-L Long Langstaart-Optaling racers from the late 1970s and early 80s cars that were both aerodynamically radical and brutal fast. The new enial design wrap for the 911 GT3 directly refers to that heritage, using a hand -applied partial wrap of Porsche exclusive Manufaktur in Zuffenhausen to recreate the spirit of those iconic racing cars.
Customers can adjust the Livrei with a starting number of two digits on the doors and hood, and even add a land flag and driver’s name above the doors for an authentic motorsport feeling. Every detail is applied with careful craftsmanship, so that every car feels like a real tribute instead of a mass production package.
The MSRP for the package is $ 7,680 and it is now available in the Porsche configurator for new GT3 orders. For current owners, Porsche is planning to offer the Design Wrap in the near future as a retrofit option.
Beyond the Wrap: A Full Andial Experience
On real Porsche Exclusive Fashion, the Andial Hulde extends beyond the outdoor images. Customers can also choose:
- Special painted key correspond to the Livreati theme
- Key bag and manual owner of the owner relief with the Andial Logo
- Custom floor mats
- Door-Sill Guard Lid Proudly Show the Andial Branding
With this coherent package, owners can experience the Andial connection every time they approach, enter and stimulate their GT3.
Why the GT3 was the perfect canvas
Volker Holzmeyer, CEO of Porsche Motorsport Noord -amerikaIt summarized perfectly:
“The GT3 embodies the connection between Porsche Motorsport and road cars in almost the same way and applied Motorsport expertise on cars on public roads and in racing. The story of Andial is one that remains an inspiration for many of us at Porsche and in our enthusiasts around the world, it is only to give this leadership during their court.”
The modern GT3 – especially in its 992.2 form – already represents the pinnacle of naturally extracted Porsche performance. By combining it with an inspired design, Porsche bridges the gap between historical motorsport success and advanced engineering.
50 years, the same spirit
What makes this link so special is not only the aesthetics or exclusivity. It is the shared DNA between the original Andial 935-L and the GT3 of today. Both are driver-oriented, motorsport-bred and designed to excel under extreme conditions.
The 935-L fought for glory in some of the most debilitating races in history, while the GT3 continues to dominate as a benchmark for Precision Road-Legal Track Cars. Different eras, different technologies, but the same inexorable dedication to performance.
Availability and legacy
With only a small number of GT3 owners who will probably choose the package, the 50 -year anniversary GT3 will be just as rare as the originals to which the tribute is. That rarity will undoubtedly be highly sought after by collectors, especially those who appreciate the origin of Porsche’s American motorsport dominance to its current GT3 program.
As Porsche celebrates half a century and the ENE ENE, the message is clear: whether it is a long Tail 935 that screams the Mulsanne straight ahead or a 992.2 GT3 that addresses a Californian canyon, the spirit of and Enial lives on.
