There are many nice and cozy restaurants in Sopot on the Polish Baltic coast, whether you want to eat traditional Polish home cooking, modern international cuisine or exclusive fine dining. We have tried a number of restaurants and take you on a tasty tour of this popular Polish seaside resort.
Restaurants in Sopot
We recently returned from a few days’ winter visit to the small Polish town of Sopot, which is part of it Trojan horse (Triple City) and is located halfway between Gdansk and Gdynia. Sopot is a bit more exclusive, to say the least most exclusivethe holiday resort in Poland.
Summer is the high season in Sopot, but the fact is that tourists come here all year round, which means that most restaurants are open all year round. We’ve had time to visit a number of places, and here we recommend five nice restaurants in Sopot, and a bar.
1. M15 Sopot
The first evening in Sopot we had dinner at M15 Sopot, where we also had a snack. This is an incredibly cozy place along the long beach, in low, charming wooden buildings. By starting with a sauna and a cold bath (or perhaps a less cold sea bath if it is summer!) you will get a great appetite for dinner.

Our party started with a starter of herring and potato blinis – both tasty and beautifully served. Herring is popular in Poland, but it may be good to know that Polish herring is generally less sweet than Swedish.

We then moved on to a lighter (spicy!) soup before it was time for the main course. The cod we ate here was very tasty!

Would you also like dessert? We wanted to, but in retrospect we could have shared one. Anyway, these little fried balls were a perfect ending to a fun evening!

2. To Brzeg
One day we had lunch at Do Brzegu restaurant, which is also beautifully situated on the long sandy beach (which was currently covered in white winter snow).

Here we chose to order some classic Polish dishes. We started with the sour soupzuurk, a favorite of both Peter and me. As usual, the soup contained both boiled egg and chunks of sausage, but this time also a dollop of mashed potatoes. This hearty Polish soup is very tasty, and you should be prepared for it to be quite filling.
As a main course we chose another classic: Polish pierogi. These in particular were filled with cod and tasted very good.

At least now we had learned to order in dessert to share. It turned out to be a wise choice! Very tasty, and half a piece was enough without any problems.

3. Between cities
The most luxurious meal during our visit was at the L’Entre Villes restaurant, recommended in the Michelin Guide. This restaurant is located in a beautiful and luxuriously renovated villa and it is a pleasure to experience the surroundings.

The interior feels exclusive and at the same time cozy and cozy. We sat on the glass veranda, where it felt warm and wintery at the same time.

We had a tasting menu at L’Entre Villes, where a whole range of small, tasty creations were brought before us. This was truly an experience, we promise! We’ll let the photos speak for themselves, but we can mention marinated trout, lobster soup with smoked scallop and deer starters, among others.

The final dessert, which consisted of three different small sample portions, was also no slouch. One of all the restaurants in Sopot that we will not forget in the first place!

4. Little Paris
Another restaurant that offered a very good experience was Petit Paris – a French restaurant also recommended in the Michelin Guide. Here we started with a traditional onion soup topped with cheese and continued with trout served with saffron risotto and mandarin sauce. Oh, so good!

Let the dessert speak for itself. In any case, we can promise that it was fantastically delicious!

5. Grand Hotel Sopot
Last but not least, we recommend the restaurant of Grand Hotel Sopot. Here we must say in itself that what impressed us most was the incredible story, which is really between the walls. Then read our report about the Grand Hotel in Sopot. If you don’t want to dine here, but still want to experience the area, it is also possible to drop by for a cup of coffee or a drink at the bar.

Dinner then? Yes, it tasted very good! Today’s three-course menu gave the opportunity to choose between two different starters, two different main courses and two different desserts. In addition, the chef surprised us with a small tasty appetizer to start.
The photos then show the vegetarian starter (made with eggplant), duck confit (a favourite!) and a final chocolate dessert.

Bonus: 3city Distillery
Do you like gin? Then you should not miss a visit to the 3city Distillery in Sopot. You can book tastings here and the business is also open as a bar at the weekend. A nice place, good gin, delicious gin drinks and nice owners!

More restaurants in Sopot?
There are of course many more good restaurants in Sopot, although we didn’t have time to try any more. For example, we looked at it Bleknity poodlewhich offers an incredibly cozy interior.

Don’t miss trying either casserole – a kind of Polish fast food, often seen on and around the beaches of Sopot. The dish can be described as an elongated pizza-like sandwich, usually filled with ham, mushrooms and cheese, and served with ketchup or mayonnaise.

More to see and do in Sopot
What else can you see and do in Sopot? When it is summer and sunny, it is of course popular to sunbathe and swim on the long sandy beaches. If you are planning a winter weekend in Sopot, you can enjoy the spa and sauna, among other things. In addition, you can discover museums, art, shopping and nature, as well as the neighboring cities of Gdansk and Gdynia.
