32 days to Puck drop; New uni numbers for men and women; Updated schedule projections

Only 32 days will last until the Puck drops at BU’s 104th season of Heren Varsity Hockey and the fourth under recently extensive head coach Jay Parolfo. Terriers will compete against Long Island University in the very first meeting between the schools on 4 October in Agganis Arena.

Only two terriers have worn #32 and easily the most impactful was a large Swedish wing Wilmer Skoog. A Agganis Arena FSkoog, a favorite, scored his characteristic Lacrosse goal four times as a terrier. In his last two seasons he had a combined 31 goals and 61 points.

â–ºThere are many new uniform numbers for Terrier fans to learn, because 14 newcomers have joined a dozen returners on the Roster. In addition, Kamil Bednarik Has traded #11 for never before worn by a-a-terrier #38.

Sacha Boisvertt Wore #9 at und While Jack Murtagh Wore the same song for the NTDP U18s, but it is the transfer of the NCA that it will wear at BU this season, perhaps passed on to him by colleague Blackhawks Draft Pick Ryan Greene.

Our friend @buhockeystats points out that in addition to Bednarik’s switch:

Malte Vass Become the first terrier to wear a song in the 50s. Charlie Tretheway is the first player to wear a song since then Matt Gilroy (#97). The 8 players who wear 33+ are the most in program history.

â–ºAnother friend of the blog, @burntboats, has updated his scheduling projection graph After the most recent obligations and the introduction of newcomers. He notes that:

Pipeline is quite set (and impressive) for the following 3 seasons. After 3 straight ffs and 3 straight 10+ players ‘players’ players, we are spoiled to give back another selection so strongly.
